Surgical Gown Making Machine & Production Line
Build a surgical gown production setup around your actual gown structure—not around a fixed machine configuration.
The DH-G automatic surgical gown body forming machine handles the main upstream processes including material feeding, folding, reinforcement processing, forming and cutting, while sleeve making, sewing, final assembly, folding and packing can be configured as separate downstream processes.

What Gowns Can You Produce?
Configure the production process according to your gown material, construction, reinforcement and barrier requirements.
Standard Surgical Gown
Front and sleeve reinforcement can be integrated according to the target gown construction.
Reinforced Surgical Gown
Front and sleeve reinforcement can be integrated according to the target gown construction.
Isolation Gown
Production setup selected around material, sleeve, cuff, tie and closure requirements.
Disposable Medical Gown
Flexible configuration for different dimensions and process requirements.
Customized Medical Gown
Send a sample or drawing for process review before final machine selection.
Final gown compliance depends on material performance, gown construction, seam performance, validated production parameters and finished-product testing.

Modular Surgical Gown Production System
A complete surgical gown production setup is built from several dedicated machine sections. The required configuration depends on your gown structure, output target and required automation level.
Automatic Surgical Gown Body Forming Machine
The DH-G forms the core automated section of the production line.
It processes roll-fed nonwoven material through the main gown-body forming steps before sleeve attachment and final garment assembly.
Highlights
- 20–25 pcs/min Body Forming:Designed for continuous gown-body production.
- Delta Servo Control:Coordinates material feeding, positioning and cutting.
- PLC + HMI:Centralized machine operation and parameter adjustment.
- Adjustable Gown Dimensions:Supports M–XXL gown sizes and 1200–1500 mm cutting lengths.
- Reinforcement Processing:Integrated glue spraying for reinforced-layer applications.
Consistent Sleeve Component Production
Surgical Gown Sleeve Making Machine
The sleeve-making machine prepares sleeve components according to the required surgical gown dimensions and sleeve design.
It operates as a separate production section before final sleeve-to-body assembly.
Why It Matters
- Consistent Sleeve Dimensions:Supports more repeatable sleeve production for downstream assembly.
- Flexible Sleeve Specifications:Configured according to finished-gown dimensions and structure.
- Independent Production Section:Allows sleeve output to be balanced with body-forming and sewing capacity.
Complete the Finished Gown Structure
Surgical Gown Sewing & Assembly Machine
After gown bodies and sleeve components are prepared, sewing and assembly equipment completes the garment structure.
Depending on the gown design, this stage may include sleeve attachment, cuff processing, tie attachment and final sewing.
Production Advantages
- Dedicated Final Assembly: Separates garment assembly from high-speed body forming.
- Flexible Gown Construction: Suitable for different sleeve, cuff and tie designs.
- Scalable Sewing Capacity: Additional sewing stations can be configured according to required finished-gown output.
From Finished Gown to Ready-to-Pack Product
Surgical Gown Folding & Packing Equipment
Optional folding and packing equipment can be added after final gown assembly according to the required packaging format and automation target.
Available Processes
- Finished gown inspection
- Automatic or assisted folding
- Product transfer
- Individual packing
- Final collection
- Flexible Finishing Setup

Surgical Gown Making Machine FAQ
Key questions for line configuration and project evaluation.
What is the difference between a surgical gown line and an isolation gown line?
The required production setup depends on gown construction rather than only the product name. Different materials, sleeves, cuffs, ties, reinforcement zones and assembly processes may require different configurations.
Which nonwoven materials can the machine process?
Common medical nonwoven and composite materials such as SMS and SMMS can be evaluated. Actual compatibility depends on GSM, thickness, coating or lamination, roll width and forming requirements.
Can the line produce reinforced surgical gowns?
Reinforced gown production can be configured with reinforcement feeding, positioning and bonding processes according to the required gown structure.
Can the machine produce different gown sizes?
Different gown dimensions can be considered when configuring the production line. Please provide your size chart or finished-product drawing.
Does the line support knit cuffs and elastic cuffs?
Cuff processing depends on the required gown construction and selected machine configuration.
Can the same line produce different OEM gown specifications?
A modular setup can support different gown specifications, but changeover depends on dimensions, material, cuff type, tie structure, reinforcement and assembly method.
Are automatic folding and packing included?
Folding and packing can be evaluated as part of the complete production solution and may be optional.
Can we send our own gown or nonwoven material for testing?
Yes. A customer sample, drawing, material specification or roll-material sample can be used for evaluation.
Can gowns made on the machine meet AAMI or EN requirements?
Final compliance depends on the complete product system including barrier material, construction, seams, validated parameters and finished-product testing.
What information do you need to prepare a quotation?
Provide gown type, drawing or sample, material and GSM, roll width, sizes, cuff and closure structure, ties, reinforcement, target output, packing requirements, destination market and factory electrical specifications.
